012909: The Bald Eagle was out again tonight. I didn't hear her call, but I heard the coots. She didn't stay long and I saw her fly off to the South end of our beach. I walked down to the shoreline and she tolerated my presence for about a minute then took off for safer grounds.
I've seen her more in the last week than all winter. I assume she has been sitting on a nest and we might see her "kids" soon, too.
